5th Anniversary

On this day 5 years ago Sarah Marie Jackson and Jesse Evan Jenkins were joined in Holy Matrimony for time and all eternity... scary thought.

Here is a poem I wrote for Sarah to commemorate that fateful day.

5th Anniversary

Five years have gone by

As it seems, in the blink of an eye.

It all started with a joke and a really hard laugh

Now it’s a chicken lentil wrap that we split in half.

First came along Avery, our number one

Now we have Caleb and you know we’re not done.

From 4,000 square feet, yeah, we left it behind

To just one bedroom, but the kids don’t mind.

We both had the rings, yours of diamonds and gold

Now they live in the Atlantic, where the currents are cold.

The Princess and Pimp Juice, he was a straight shooter

We traded them in and now rely on a scooter.

Before we had fall, all four seasons and snow

Now its just rain, helping mold grow.

So much has changed over the years

We’ve had some good laughs and a good share of tears.

One thing is still true, as ever before

My love for you grows each year more and more.

I love you Sarah and wish you a happy anniversary.

Don't we all look HOT, and I'm not talking about the temperature...
